Is it really true that BS in Accountancy is a low class course and I don't have future in it?

Hello, a few weeks from now I'll be entering college. My stepfather supported me on my chosen career. But my mother don't and insisting me to better learn caregiver or Hotel and Restaurant Management. But I insisted to take BS Acc so she said that I better don't go to college if I'll pursue that course because the course I chose is low class and I don't have future in it, if I pursue she said that she would not give me any support. She also included that i am so upsetting and funny because of the course I want to take. What should I do my stepfather may get tired of supporting me alone and I tried applying scholarship ,but I always fail because both parent's I have is in abroad. I really want to study and pursue on college ,but my mother don't want to give any support and I am ashamed of my stepfather. I already explained to my mother a lot about the course I want to take ,but she is really selfish and always want to manipulate my life. Can someone please give me a background with the course I want to take. Is it true that Accountancy is not in demand abroad?
