I got the job, had orientation on May 7th and still haven't got any hours. What should I do?

I had an interview for a caregiver position on May 3rd and on May 5th I got a call saying I got the job. They wanted me to come in for orientation on May 7th so that I could fill out my W-4s and go over company policies, ect. I went to orientation and they told me as well as the other people that were hired that we would be put on the schedule within a week. It never happened. I contacted them about a week or so later and they had a nonchalant attitude and said we all should hear something soon. Well, it is now June 13th and they haven't been having any communication with me on the status of what is going on. To me, it just seems unprofessional. Should I count it as a loss, or should I continue to call to find out why I haven't heard anything? Should I file an Unemployment claim?
