GUYS: Why does my boyfriend only......?

contact like once every three or four days! He is pretty busy at the moment with work and we are currently in a Long Distance Relationship. We are in our early twenties! I wonder if this is normal because whenever we speak we have great conversations although i would like to talk to him more but i dont want to be a pain to him. Guys what would you deem as suitable? thanks x
