Should we take a risk and stay to get ideal job or move for a job we have?

i have a dilemma. we moved to this city almost 2 years ago and we would love to stay here for many reasons. my husband right now works 2 weeks on, one week off, we have two little kids he doesn't get to see everyday. he just accepted a job in a city that's 3 hours away where he would be home every night, which is very important to us. but this means we would have to move there and start everything from scratch plus it is more expensive to live there. here is the trick. the day after he accepted the job 3 hours away, he found out there is a job opening where we live, which he has a good chance of getting. But the thing is he doesn't know a hundred percent if he would get it or not. getting the job and living here would be ideal for us. so, that's the dilemma. any input? thank you.
